Going nuts for zero sugar cola

This week I’m going to talk Coca-Cola, and its amazing array of zero sugar flavours – all launched since the announcement of the UK sugar levy.

Who can fail to be impressed by such a rapid response?

In fact, this week sees the launch of yet another new flavour just in time for the festive season – Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon, a limited edition offering that will only be available until the end of the year. Brilliant!

So while, as I’ve said previously, there will no doubt be an inevitable backlash against the use of sweeteners (just last week there were headlines proclaiming that artificial sweeteners can increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes) Coca-Cola’s innovative response to the sugar tax is to be applauded.

Now all I have to do is sit back and wait for what I hope will be the next latest flavour offering – Coca-Cola zero sugar Coconut. Just think – the taste of Malibu and cola, but without sugar and without alcohol. What’s not to love?

If that appears on our shelves in time for next summer, I’m taking the credit.

Remember, you heard it here first.
