FOOD TECH EXPO: Loma Systems brings advanced x-ray and metal detection

Loma Systems will exhibit at this year’s Food Tech Expo to showcase its latest advancements in food inspection technology.
Taking place from 25-27 November 2025 at Ptak Warsaw Expo, the event will feature Loma’s X5DE X-ray inspection system and IQ4M metal detector – two innovations designed to improve product safety, quality assurance and operational efficiency for food manufacturers. The company is exhibiting on Stand D1.48.
Food Tech Expo offers a great opportunity for Loma to connect with Polish food manufacturers and showcase how our latest technologies can improve product integrity and production efficiency,” said Cezary Mroczek, country manager, Poland. “It’s exciting to present the new X5DE and IQ4M systems for the first time in Poland. Both demonstrate our ongoing commitment to customer back innovation and to providing solutions that meet the real-world needs of our customers.”
Launched earlier this year, the X5DE X-ray inspection system uses Dual Energy with multi-level algorithms to identify low-density contaminants, such as bones, rubber, glass and stones, that can be difficult to detect with conventional systems. Ideal for dense, overlapping or metallised products, it delivers greater accuracy and fewer false rejects.
The system also offers an intuitive 19-inch high-definition touchscreen interface for quick setup and smooth operation, with robust stainless-steel construction and lead-free shielding for long-term reliability. In addition to contaminant detection, the X5DE can check for missing items, weight variations and product defects, giving manufacturers a more complete view of quality control.
Also on display, the IQ4M metal detector combines patented variable-frequency and multi-spectrum detection technologies to examine products multiple times, delivering high-precision sensitivity across a wide range of products, including those with high salt, moisture, or iron content.
The system’s ability to detect smaller metal contaminants is due to its unique detection algorithms, which reduce the required signal size using Dynamic Data Screening +, allowing for more detailed product analysis. The IQ4M’s OPC-UA feature provides excellent information connectivity, while RFID tags enable faster user login, enhanced security and improved traceability.
Together, the X5DE and IQ4M reinforce Loma’s commitment to advancing inspection technology that delivers precision, reliability and ease of use, supporting food producers in achieving the highest standards of product safety and integrity.
