Bacardi and Coca-Cola expand RTD portfolio with new ‘Spiced’ variant

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Bacardí have announced the next phase of their multi-million-pound pre-mixed partnership with the launch of a new Bacardí Spiced & Coca-Cola RTD.
The launch follows the successful 2025 rollout of the original Bacardí & Coca-Cola SKU and is designed to tap into the high-growth “Spiced” sub-category, which has become a primary driver of volume in the total rum market.
The new 5% ABV canned cocktail combines the world’s best-selling cola with the toasted oak and honey notes of Bacardí Spiced. Market data indicates that spiced rum is a key entry point for younger legal-drinking-age consumers, and by offering it in a convenient, chilled format, the partnership aims to capture on-the-go and at-home social occasions.
“The initial response to our partnership with Bacardí has been phenomenal, and it’s clear that consumers are looking for premium, recognisable brand combinations in the RTD aisle,” said Elaine Maher, associate director at CCEP. “By adding a Spiced variant, we are offering more choice to a demographic that values flavour complexity and brand trust.”
The launch is supported by a significant marketing investment across social media, out-of-home advertising, and high-impact in-store activations. For retailers, the product offers a high-value proposition, particularly category growth where spiced RTDs typically command a higher price-per-litre than entry-level beer or cider, aiding in overall category value growth.
In line with both companies’ sustainability commitments, the packaging features a “Recycle Me” message and the cans are 100% recyclable. Furthermore, the branding clearly adheres to the highest standards of responsible marketing, with prominent “5% ABV” and age-restriction labelling to ensure clear differentiation from non-alcoholic Coca-Cola variants.
Bacardí Spiced & Coca-Cola is rolling out nationwide across major supermarkets, convenience stores, and wholesalers starting this month. It is available in 250ml single cans and 4x250ml multipacks.
