Merger for Findus firms

THE Findus Group is to merge its Young’s Seafood, The Seafood Company and Findus UK operations.
The consolidated company, Young’s Seafood Limited, will be the largest supplier of fish and seafood with a turnover of around £600 million (€70m).
Leedert den Hollander, managing director of the Findus Group UK and Ireland, will be the chief executive of the new company.

Young’s Seafood Limited will employ 3,200 people across 13 UK sites, with Grimsby retained as its manufacturing and NPD (new product development) centre, and corporate headquarters in London.
