ISC appoints new president

The International Stevia Council (ISC) has this week elected a new leadership team, with Cargill’s Zanna McFerson taking the helm as president.

“I am honoured to have been elected,” she says. “The ISC has accomplished a lot since its formation in 2010 and I expect stevia to continue to expand its role in food and beverage. We have several new members and the organisation will continue to grow with the introduction of new membership categories.”

Carl Horn, from Real Stevia, has been appointed vice-president and Sebastian Winkelhaus, from Verdure Science, has been appointed treasurer. The Board of the ISC also includes Larry Fernandes, from Ingredion, and Jordi Ferre, from PureCircle.
