Challenger brands Woolf’s Kitchen and Omega Pressery have announced a powerhouse partnership to launch Chilli Crunch with Avocado Oil.

The product blends bold, globally inspired heat with clean-label health benefits, targeting a rapidly evolving condiments market.

The rise of the premium pantry

The development of Chilli Crunch with Avocado Oil was directly sparked by the exploding popularity of the original Woolf’s Kitchen Chilli Crunch. Having achieved a dedicated cult following — complete with its own appreciative Facebook fan groups — consumers were eager for a new spin on the bestseller.

At the same time, macro consumer habits are shifting toward trading up everyday meals with elevated condiments. According to the Waitrose Food & Drink Report, 60% of households now store at least six condiments in their fridges alone. This joint venture capitalises on that data, offering a premium alternative that satisfies foodies looking to upgrade their larder staples with sophisticated flavour profiles.

Functional fats & sustainability

While the standard condiment shelf is heavily populated by seed-oil-based hot sauces, this launch disrupts the category through clean ingredients and a more sustainable food model:

  • Premium Avocado Oil Base: swapping traditional oils for Omega Pressery’s premium cold-pressed avocado oil creates a healthier profile naturally rich in Vitamin E and monounsaturated fats.
  • 100% clean label: the recipe remains completely free from artificial additives, preserving the iconic bold heat, crunch, and umami depth fans expect.
  • Upcycled sourcing: In a bid to support a circular food system, the avocado oil is extracted from “wonky” East African avocados that would otherwise be discarded as aesthetic waste.
  • Female entrepreneurship: The product unites two award-winning, founder-led brands that are active members of the Buy Women Built movement.

Customers have always gone crazy for Chilli Crunch, it’s our best-seller by miles,” says Dominique Woolf, founder of Woolf’s Kitchen. “They say you shouldn’t try and improve on perfection, but we might have just gone and done it anyway! We’ve taken our bestselling Chilli Crunch and paired it with Omega Pressery’s avocado oil to create something exciting for both of our communities.”

Nikita Dawda, co-founder of Omega Pressery, adds: “We’re passionate about creating products that celebrate great ingredients, so partnering with Woolf’s Kitchen was an exciting opportunity. Together we’ve created a product that brings the strengths of both brands into one jar.”
