Leatherhead creates leadership team

A new leadership team has been created at Leatherhead Food Research that increases support for members and customers and adds investment in resources and customer communications.
“The success of Leatherhead depends critically on our ability to understand and communicate with our customers and members,” says CEO, Dr Geoff Spriegel. “I see this restructure as a great opportunity to refocus our investment in the added value products and services that our customers tell us that they need. Leatherhead Food Research is ideally placed to support our food industry partners with the science, expertise and facilities needed to meet their existing and future challenges.”
A new role of director of scientific and technical services has been created and is to be taken by Chris Wells, former head of food safety and product integrity at Leatherhead. As well as food safety, this role now includes responsibility for nutrition and for the work in reformulation, ingredients innovation and new product development.
