DuPont wins fight for Danisco

DuPont has won a five-month takeover fight for Danish food ingredient maker Danisco, after more than 92% of shareholders approved its £3.8 billion (€4.4bn) tender offer.
The American chemical giant said it had received 92.2% of all Danisco shares, for which it offered 700 DKK apiece.
“We are delighted that the tender has been successful and we can move on to the process of integrating Danisco,” Ellen Kullman, DuPont’s chairwoman and chief executive, said in a statement. “This combination will create an industry leader in industrial biosciences and nutrition and health.”
