Steady growth predicted for juice market

The global juice market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.96% from 2015-2019, according to a new report from research firm Technavio.

The report highlights the many new varieties of juices that have been introduced to the market to cater for the needs of consumers. These days, cross-sectional varieties of juice that are a blend of fruits and vegetables are gaining popularity with consumers.

“New varieties of products like juices made from superfoods like acai berries are becoming popular because they have a higher content of antioxidants than other fruit juices. These new products also come with a range of health claims, which are boosting their sales among health conscious consumers,” says Faisal Ghaus, vice president of Technavio.

The report also emphasises the increasing popularity of organic juice, which has become widely accepted in western Europe and other developed areas.

“Almost all the leading juice vendors currently have organic juice brands in their product catalogues,” adds Ghaus.
