Semo Packaging’s new Fresh’Closure is a re-closable, mono-material solution for the easy opening and closure of food packs.

Current closure solutions for food packaging – such as those containing bread – can lack user friendliness, with time taken to re-close the bag, poor product preservation, broken films and lost ties just some of the criticisms often levelled against them.

With the current emphasis on avoiding food waste, the preservation of foodstuffs has become a major challenge. A badly closed product is more at risk from humidity, dirt or mould and consequently ends up in the bin more quickly. A badly stored product also poses a risk to health (food poisoning).

To tackle these packing and preservation problems encountered by consumers, Semo Packaging has designed the patented Fresh’Closure film, with its drawstring system.

This new technology promises numerous advantages including better preservation of products and for longer, as well as easy opening and closure. Even with repetitive use, the product retains its freshness and most of its nutritional properties. The packaging is also 100 per cent recyclable and reusable.
