Nestlé has announced that it is expanding its breakfast portfolio by bringing the much-loved flavour of Nesquik Strawberry to cereal bowls across the UK and Ireland starting this April.

The launch follows the long-standing success of the Strawberry milk drink and aims to offer families more variety during the morning rush.

The new Nesquik Strawberry Flavour Cereal features the brand’s signature pink hue and is designed to turn the milk in the bowl pink, mimicking the classic milkshake experience.

The decision to launch a strawberry variant alongside the classic chocolate cereal is rooted in providing consumers with more diverse, flavourful options that don’t compromise on nutritional standards.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this much loved Nesquik flavour to cereal for the very first time, building on more than 60 years of Nesquik Strawberry heritage in the UK, said Sarah Fordy, head of marketing for Nestlé Cereals UK. “For families, it brings a new breakfast choice made with whole grains, high in fibre, and enriched with seven vitamins plus iron, all with the fun twist of turning your milk pink. Our aim has been to offer even more variety at breakfast while staying true to the playful spirit the Nesquik brand is known for.”

According to Nestlé, the product is positioned as a fun yet responsible choice for parents. Like the original chocolate version, the Strawberry Flavour Cereal is classified as non-HFSS under the UK’s nutritional profiling model.

Nestlé is highlighting the cereal’s nutritional credentials as a key reason for its introduction to the competitive breakfast market. The new cereal is:

  • Made with whole grain as the number one ingredient.
  • A source of Vitamin B6, Magnesium, and Iron.
  • Free from artificial colours and flavours.

In addition to the nutritional focus, the launch aligns with Nestlé’s broader environmental commitments. The packaging is 100% recyclable, supporting the company’s goal to make all of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

The rollout begins this week across major retailers in the UK and Ireland, including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Ocado.

By leveraging the high brand recognition of the Nesquik bunny and the nostalgia associated with the strawberry flavour, Nestlé expects the new launch to drive incremental growth in the cereal category. As Fordy noted, the launch is about “bringing a little bit of Nesquik magic to breakfast time,” ensuring that one of the brand’s most popular flavours is now accessible in a crunchy, whole-grain format.
