pladis is adding a high‑fibre twist to one of Britain’s best‑loved biscuit brands with the launch of McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Snaps – a new nHFSS range designed to give consumers a more balanced biscuit break without losing the oaty indulgence they know and love.

Available in Vanilla and Caramel, the new Oaty Snaps are made with 100% wholegrain oats, are high in fibre, and deliver Hobnobs’ signature oaty goodness in a lighter, crispier, rectangular snap – engineered for easier dunking and everyday permissibility.

The launch taps directly into the UK’s growing fibre gap, with many consumers falling short of recommended daily intake. By extending Hobnobs into a high‑fibre, nHFSS format, pladis is aiming to make fibre‑forward snacking more accessible, more enjoyable and more aligned with everyday biscuit rituals.

Annalisa Fanali, marketing manager at pladis UK&I, said: “We are excited to launch Hobnobs Oaty Snaps at a time when fibre continues to be a focus for British consumers, with many people not getting enough fibre in their daily diets. Hobnobs Oaty Snaps offer a delicious and more permissible way to enjoy a biscuit break, bringing together great taste, satisfying texture and the benefits of wholegrain oats in every bite.”

She added that the new rectangular shape is “even easier to dunk”, while still delivering the crunch and oaty satisfaction Hobnobs fans expect.

A lighter snap for every break is revealed in:

  • Vanilla: a light, delicate biscuit moment
  • Caramel: a richer, golden sweetness that complements the oaty base

Both variants are crafted for mid‑morning pauses, afternoon pick‑me‑ups or on‑the‑go indulgence – offering a wholesome, snappy alternative that fits seamlessly into daily routines.

McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Snaps (167g, RRP £1.49) are launching across multiple retailers and discounters throughout July 2026.
