Bakery opts for Ulma flow wrappers

UK-based Clayton Park Bakery turned to Ulma Packaging for the flexible, flow wrapping equipment it required to cope with increasing demand for its morning goods and confectionery.
The bakery invested in two of the company’s Atlanta Hi-Tec horizontal flow wrappers for its second purpose-built bakery in Lancashire, which produces various food items, including bread rolls, finger rolls, cakes and vanilla slices.
From wrapping loaves of bread to bagging pasties, flexibility, speed and presentation are key ingredients for bakers. Clayton Park chose Ulma’s equipment because it can safely wrap a range of different shaped products in any configuration, while at the same time maximising visibility on retailers’ shelves.
The Atlanta flow wrapper has a touch screen operation with multi-product memory, which means that changeovers can be made quickly at the press of a button. The machine also benefits from ‘no product, no bag’ and ‘misplaced product detection’ systems, as well as working with clear and printed film.
