Synergy Flavours has expanded its offering with a honey range.
Prompted by the increasing popularity of honey among consumers, the range is suitable for a variety of applications and consists of five profiles: Honeycomb, Mild Honey, Dark Honey, Floral Honey and Mānuka.
The colour, flavour and even aroma of a particular variety of honey often differs depending on the nectar source of flowers visited by the honey bee. And with hundreds of different honey varietals available, Synergy worked in close partnership with a beekeeping society to develop five recognisable flavours that deliver real impact. Via extensive analysis and testing of honey samples, Synergy’s flavourists were able to capture the unique characteristics of each flavour profile. Whether manufacturers are looking for a light, mild variety; a darker, distinctively bold profile; or floral notes with an odour reminiscent of the flower, the new range offers manufacturers the versatility to create honey flavoured products that are characteristic of the raw material.
Available in liquid and spray dry formats, the natural flavours can be tailored to suit specific dietary requirements, including halal and vegan.
