Tate & Lyle expands production capacity

Food ingredients and solutions firm Tate & Lyle has expanded its instant starch production capacity at its manufacturing facility in Koog aan de Zaan, The Netherlands.
This investment will, says Tate & Lyle, enable it to meet the growing demand for speciality starches, including its range of pre-gelatinised starches.
“Two key factors are driving the growth of our ranges. The first is product innovation – such as fat reduction or new developments in recipes,” says James Blunt, senior vice president product management. “Secondly, the need for non-GM ingredients in a number of markets is a key driver in Europe, as well as in some other markets around the world.”
