  • UK-based Moo Free Limited, a manufacturer of dairy free and gluten free chocolate, is to invest in new machinery following funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.
  • Aquabio, specialist in the reuse of industrial water, has been awarded a £3.5 million contract for a wastewater treatment and water reuse plant at Dairy Crest’s Severnside Dairy in Gloucester, UK.
  • Loma Systems has launched the compact X5 Spacesaver X-ray. This latest generation food inspection unit offers 25% improved detection performance, 20% smaller footprint than similar x-ray machines and ultra hygienic design for quick clean and low maintenance and serviceability.
  • Nestlé has opened a large coffee capsule factory in the northern German city of Schwerin, increasing Nescafé Dolce Gusto production capacity and providing new employment opportunities for the region.
  • A new energy centre has opened at Molson Coors’ brewery in Burton, UK as part of a five-year capital investment plan to modernise its brewing infrastructure and technology.
