Azelis is set to transform its presence at Food Ingredients Europe (FiE) 2025 into a vibrant hub of culinary creativity.

From December 2 to 4 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Azelis (Booth 4.0G120, Hall 4) will showcase eleven cutting-edge formulations designed to meet consumers’ surging demand for accessible, indulgent, and “better-for-you” foods with a modern, affordable twist.

Azelis’s showcase is inspired by the dynamic, global world of street food , reflecting the deep technical expertise harvested from its network of food & nutrition laboratories across Europe. This strategy moves beyond simple ingredient sales, focusing instead on translating complex consumer desires into ready-to-launch, profitable concepts.

The heart of the Azelis booth will be an interactive tasting experience, featuring live kitchen demonstrations and the unveiling of eleven novel formulations developed by its technical centres in Denmark, France, the UK, Germany, Poland, and five other European countries. These concepts are engineered not only for superior flavour and texture but also to address core market challenges like affordability and convenience.

The highlight reel of creative innovation includes:

  • Indulgent yet accessible treats: Dubai chocolate muffins, delivering rich indulgence with a modern twist; alcohol-free vanilla-rum cream, proving that complexity of flavour does not require spirits; and crunchy, flavourful fire-kissed almonds.
  • Convenient and functional snacking: Banana and cherry smoothie powder, offering quick, nutrient-dense beverage solutions; and freeze-dried yogurt bites for portable, probiotic-rich snacking
  • Next-generation meat alternatives: vegan nuggets and vegetarian empanadas, showcasing advanced ingredient technology that achieves convincing texture and taste in plant-based formats
  • Hybrid comfort foods: innovative format creations like pizza waffles, fusing popular tastes into new, shareable, and quick-bite formats.

The quality of Azelis’s technical work has been recognised by industry experts, leading to the company’s selection for the prestigious Innovation Tour on the first day of the event (December 2, 11:00–12:30). Azelis will be highlighted in the Reformulation category, underscoring its role in creating smarter, more sustainable solutions that address major market trends efficiently.

Furthermore, this year’s FiE marks the joint participation of the newly integrated Haarla and Hortimex teams within Azelis’s Food & Nutrition network in the Nordics and Poland. This integration significantly strengthens the group’s regional reach and enhances its collective technical capabilities across the continent, the company said.

Evy Hellinckx, CEO Azelis EMEA, commented on the significance of the event: “Food Ingredients Europe is a highlight in our industry calendar. This year, we are delighted to bring a vibrant, interactive experience that captures the spirit of street food – creativity, comfort and connection. Our teams across Europe have worked hard to deliver formulations that combine flavour, texture and innovation while simultaneously addressing key market trends around health and affordability.”

Azelis’s innovation capabilities are driven by combining deep technical expertise with specialized ingredient knowledge and market trend analysis. By fostering close collaboration across technical, sales, and marketing functions, Azelis translates complex ideas into ready-to-launch concepts, committed to supporting its partners in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in food and beverage development.
