Vitafoods issues call for papers

Vitafoods Europe, the annual ingredients and raw materials event for the nutraceutical, functional food and drink and nutricosmetic industries, is inviting contributions from experts for inclusion in its annual scientific and commercial conference.
Peer-reviewed by world-renowned experts, organisers say the Vitafoods Europe Conference has an international reputation within the nutraceutical sector, delivering a ‘must-attend programme that explores market expansion, new innovations and scientific discoveries’. These include new insights into product development, the latest scientific research and regulatory issues.
The Vitafoods Europe Conference Executive Advisory Board (EAB) is asking scientists, research teams and commercial managers to submit papers in their area of expertise. Proposed papers along the themes below will be considered for inclusion into the 2013 programme:
- Digestive health
- Heart health
- Brain & mind health
- Bone & joint health
- Preventative health & immunity
- Market for ageing customers
- Market for functional food & consumer trends
- EFSA health claims & regulation
- Personalised nutrition
- Physical performance
- Beauty foods
- Ingredients from nature
- Food allergy & intolerance
- Clinical trials & human testing
“In addition to traditional presentations, the EAB would also like to receive details on scientific papers, commercial applications, regional learnings, new markets, case studies, business developments, research thinking, merger and acquisition strategies and new applications,” adds a Vitafoods spokesman.
Anyone wishing to present a paper should complete the Paper Proposal Form online at www.vitafoods.eu.com/callforpapers. Deadline for submissions is 1 December 2012.
Following a review by the Executive Advisory Board, applicants will be advised of the outcome by 1 February 2013. The authors of accepted papers will be sent instructions on how to submit their completed paper. All completed papers are due on 11 May 2013.
