Bagels added to protein range

High protein bagels are the latest addition to Dr Zak’s range of high protein bread and pasta. The brand hopes the launch will further show that health and fitness nutrition no longer has to sit in a category of its own and that its products will soon be lined up next to ‘everyday’ equivalents on grocery shelves.

Each multigrain and seed bagel has more than twice the amount of protein (about the same as a chicken breast) compared to an average bagel. They also contain 40% less carbohydrates than their ‘normal’ equivalent and are particularly high in fibre, which helps keep hunger at bay.

They promise the same consistency and taste as an average bagel and are free from artificial colours, preservatives and flavours.

A cinnamon and raisin bagel is also due to be launched.
