Transatlantic bakery management agreement
RedBlack Software has become the exclusive UK reseller of weighing, ingredient control and traceability solutions from North American specialist SG Systems.
Dallas, Texas headquartered SG Systems is the creator of the SG Systems V5 suite of recipe control, product labelling and warehouse management system solutions. RedBlack Software is well known in the UK food sector for its Cybake range of retail and wholesale bakery management solutions.
Jane Tyler, managing director of RedBlack Software, says, “We’ve always worked toward delivering the ultimate end-to-end system for our customers. SG Systems’ V5 solutions give us the last piece of this puzzle – complete control over the shop floor.”
Tyler, who also sits on the management committee of the British Society of Bakers, adds, “While SG Systems’ elegant applications interface perfectly with Cybake, they are best-of-breed in their own right. SG Systems’ software is not locked within expensive weigh-scale hardware. Its apps work on Windows-driven tablets, making them much less expensive than competing offerings and putting precision traceability within the reach of all bakers.”
The only hardware component of the SG Systems range is its SG15 Touch Screen, a NEMA4X (IP66) industrial tablet computer designed for harsh manufacturing environments. The screen can be plugged into to any modern day scales to transform them into a SG Systems V5 Formula Control Scale System, which ensures that ingredients are measured and traced accurately and consistently, without costly giveaway or out-of-specification batches.
SG Systems’ Mobile Warehouse Management System (Mobile WMS) works on any Windows tablet; it does not require proprietary hardware. The application manages inventory shipping, receiving and dispatch as well as generating shipping labels and delivery notes.
