Record breaking year for Wolf Packaging

Global packaging solutions provider Wolf Packaging has enjoyed a record-breaking year.

Wolf Packaging, whose UK business arm is based in Birmingham, received orders for over 300 machines in 2018, while the group’s profitable revenue exceeded €30 million for the first time in the company’s history.

Managing director, UK Andy Neal said: “We enjoyed significant growth in 2018, thanks to a huge upturn in the snacks market.

“Our UK business opened a dedicated office in Birmingham in May 2018 with UK-based service engineers to further strengthen our business in Britain and Ireland. We also opened a Russian office to extend our direct sales reach and to provide service as well as spare parts in the region.

“Looking ahead, we will be opening an office in Dubai to cover the UAE and the Middle East later this year.”

From its two manufacturing sites in Germany and China, Wolf Packaging develops a variety of VFFS machines serving a wide variety of industries and markets including snack food and confectionery, as well as dairy, pet food, and fresh and frozen food.

Wolf is an expert in VFFS technology, particularly for difficult products such as powders, granules and liquids.

Wolf Packaging celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2018, an important milestone for the company. It was also a busy year which saw the firm participate in more than 20 trade shows around the world. Moreover, Wolf’s Chinese production site celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2018, and this year Wolf China looks to be increasing its vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machine output to 200 machines based on orders already received.
