The initiative will see a huge promotion for frozen foods, and has been backed by leading frozen food manufacturers and retailers.
The launch of the new website is to educate young people and families by showing them how frozen food is produced, detailing nutritional benefits and explaining cost saving potential and offering healthy and convenient meal plans direct from the freezer.
To mark the launch of the ice age campaign and new website the federation erected an enormous ice wall to demonstrate that frozen is one of the freshest and most natural forms of food you an buy.
The retail frozen food market is worth £4.85 billion and is growing year or year by 5.9%. The frozen fish sector has increased by 10.2%, frozen vegetables by 9.2% and meat and poultry is up by 5.7%.
