Provisur to spotlight high‑efficiency fruit processing at MacFrut
Provisur Technologies will use this year’s MacFrut exhibition (21–23 April, Rimini) to showcase a suite of modular processing solutions designed to help fruit processors boost yield, product quality, and operational efficiency.
The company will highlight its latest refining technologies for compotes, purées, and juices, including the STS range and the AM2C Barracuda system.
Provisur’s STS 800, STS 2000, and STS 3000 refiners are engineered for manufacturers producing jams, compotes, and fruit or vegetable purées.
The newest model, the STS 2000, delivers increased throughput and enhanced quality control through a flexible pressing belt that gently pulls product through the system.
As product is pressed against a perforated drum, soft material passes through while hard components — such as stones, peel, or fibrous fragments — are removed by a scraping knife and discharged via a waste chute. The robust construction and straightforward set-up support quick maintenance and easy cleaning, helping processors maintain high hygiene standards and minimise downtime.
For producers seeking lower‑capacity, batch‑friendly solutions, Provisur will also present the AM2C Barracuda. Designed for artisanal and flexible operations, the system combines low‑RPM refining with a single‑screw feed to protect delicate raw materials.
Provisur Barracuda
The Barracuda offers a wide capacity range — from 100 kg to 30 tonnes per hour — and can refine from 360 microns up to 10 mm. It handles fresh or cooked products at temperatures from 0 to 90 °C, including high‑fibre ingredients. A two‑pallet vane pump ensures high yield, and Provisur also provides complementary pumping solutions for integrated line set-ups.
