New Tetra Pak PDC open for business

Food processing and packaging solutions firm Tetra Pak has announced the opening of a Product Development Centre (PDC) in Shanghai, China.

The centre provides local dairy and beverage companies with the processing, packaging and powder handling equipment that will enable them to quickly and efficiently develop high quality products, says the company.

“Part of Tetra Pak China’s Technology Development and Manufacturing Centre, the PDC allows customers to respond to the increasingly diverse needs of the beverage and dairy market in China,” says Hudson Lee, president of Tetra Pak China. “The combination of urbanisation, a rapidly growing middle class and changes in beverage consumption have driven the rapid development of Tetra Pak customers’ product lines, categories and flavours. Equipped with advanced processing equipment for extraction, mixture, addition and filling, the PDC provides customers with the full range of processing procedures – from formula and testing of milk and beverage to packaging of finished products.”
