Dawn Foods UK and Ireland has launched two new Chunky Cookie Mixes, helping bakers capitalise on the growing demand for deep-filled, indulgent American-style cookies, currently trending on social media and in bakeries across Europe.

Available in Plain and Chocolate, Dawn’s new Chunky Cookie Mixes are designed to deliver the classic American cookie experience — crisp on the outside with a soft, chewy centre — while offering the structure needed to hold generous fillings and large inclusions for a more premium, indulgent eat.

Ideal for customisation, the mixes can be complemented with, among many other options, chocolate, caramel, fruit fillings or branded confectionery with chocolate chunks, confectionery pieces or nuts to finish, giving bakers many opportunities to create standout on-trend cookies.

Dawn suggests a Hazelnut Cookie recipe using the Plain Chunky Cookie Mix, filled with the company’s Bueno filling, drizzled with Milk Chocolate Souplesse coating and finished with chopped hazelnuts for optional added crunch.

Made with all-natural flavours, and Rain Forest Alliance certified cocoa in the chocolate variant, the Chunky Cookie mixes are simple-to-use, requiring only the addition of water and butter — with margarine also suitable as a more cost-effective alternative. Bakers can then personalise recipes with inclusions and fillings of their choice.

The baked chunky cookies also offer a longer post-bake shelf life than standard cookies, helping improve efficiency and reduce waste too.
