National Starch and Corn Products become Ingredion in EMEA

The companies that were part of the National Starch group of companies in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), have adopted the Ingredion brand.

Since October 2010, when Corn Products International acquired the National Starch Group of companies, each of the organisations have been aligning their capabilities, operations and product offerings.

A key part of this alignment has been to create a ‘unified, global business brand’ for the combined National Starch and Corn Products International groups. The brand conversion was first implemented in the United States, when Corn Products International was renamed Ingredion Incorporated in June 2012.

As the part of the rollout of the Ingredion brand globally, the National Starch companies in EMEA will adopt the Ingredion brand during October 2012. This means Corn Products UK will become Ingredion UK, National Starch & Chemical will become Ingredion Germany and CPI Ingredients South Africa will become Ingredion South Africa.

“Our new name, Ingredion, better reflects our global presence and focus on ingredient solutions,” says Ilene Gordon, chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ingredion Incorporated. “We’re proud of our legacy in providing consistently high quality ingredients to our many customers and helping them succeed in new realms with innovations they can get nowhere else. We will continue to build our expertise and ingredient solutions portfolio to help our customers address trends and compete better around the world.”
