Glanbia reveals plans for new US plantGlanbia Nutritionals Ingredient Technologies, (GNIT) has announced that it’s to build a 40,000sq ft cereal ingredient processing facility in South Dakota, USA.

The new plant will replace the company’s plant in Angusville, Manitoba, which was destroyed by fire in March this year.

Glanbia Nutritionals entered the flax business when it purchased the former Pizzey’s Milling in Angusville in September 2007. The new facility in Sioux Falls will produce MeadowPure whole and milled flaxseed ingredients, as well as other seed and grain products.

GNIT develops, manufactures and sells nutritional and functional ingredients to food, beverage and supplement manufacturers, and is a leading global supplier of ingredients derived from dairy, flaxseed and other nutritious sources.
