Every February, Berlin transforms into a kaleidoscope of colours, flavours, and ideas as the world’s fruit and vegetable sector converges for Fruit Logistica.
From 4 to 6 February 2026, more than 2,500 exhibitors from around 90 countries will gather at Messe Berlin, making it the largest and most international meeting point for fresh produce professionals.
Last year’s edition drew 91,000 trade visitors from 151 countries, with more than 95 per cent recommending the event. This year promises even greater momentum, as the guiding theme “Let’s grow!” captures the industry’s determination to embrace innovation, expand sustainably, and strengthen global connections.
Director Alexander Stein explains: “Let’s grow is much more than a slogan. It reflects our determination to push ahead, to embrace innovation, and to grow not only technologically and economically but also as a global community. Fruit Logistica is where that future begins.”
Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and France remain the top exhibitor nations, while participation from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East continues to rise.
The exhibition unfolds across three interconnected segments:
- Fresh produce – a marketplace for global fruit and vegetable trade, showcasing new varieties, shifting supply landscapes, and retail opportunities.
- Machinery & technology – from AI-driven cultivation systems and precision irrigation to autonomous harvesting robots, this segment highlights how efficiency and sustainability can grow hand in hand.
- Logistics – next-generation cold chain systems, robotics, drones, and digital supply-chain platforms demonstrate the art of moving freshness across the globe.
The format of the exhibition is designed to bring stories to life with innovation showcased through every hall:
- Start-up World introduces bold technologies in vertical farming, logistics, and data-driven production.
- Insights Stage and Expert Forums host over 200 experts across 100 sessions, covering topics from breeding innovations and greenhouse automation to climate resilience and AI.
- Organic Route guides visitors to more than 200 exhibitors with certified organic products, reflecting the growing demand for transparency and responsibility.
- New Product Showcase offers a gallery of future-ready concepts in varieties, packaging, and technology.
The Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA) celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, with finalists displayed throughout the halls and winners announced on 6 February.
The final day, Fruitful Friday, blends business, science, and entertainment. Highlights include the Mascot Race, the FLIA Award Ceremony, and the FRUTIC Science Symposium, organised with the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB).
