Tate & Lyle to showcase latest ingredient innovation at Gulfood 2019

Tate & Lyle, a provider of food and beverage ingredients and solutions, is exhibiting at this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing Trade Show (29-31 October), where it will be showcasing its latest range of solutions designed to help manufacturers in the Middle East and beyond meet the latest consumer food and drink trends.

Based at stand B22 in Hall 2 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, experts will be on hand to showcase a range of new applications and demonstrate how different ingredients can be combined to create bespoke solutions for sugar or calorie reduction, specific texture profiles or enriching products with fibre or protein, while reducing costs.

Dominique Floch, regional sales and technical director for Middle East & Africa at Tate & Lyle said: “Healthy living is a key priority and we’re seeing demand for healthier ingredients growing steadily. High protein, sugar reduction and fibre enrichment solutions are higher on the agenda for many manufacturers than ever before. In response to this, we have developed a new range of applications to help our customers tap into those trends.

“As formulation experts, we are continuously innovating to find new ways to make food extraordinary. Thanks to our extensive ingredient portfolio, application and technical expertise, and knowledge of the market, we are able to provide tailored solutions for manufacturers that allow them to create food and beverages that really meet the needs of consumers in the region.”

This year, Tate & Lyle experts will be available to help manufacturers tap into the growing demand for products with enhanced benefits, where its ingredients enable customers to create products with additional protein, while also reducing fat and sugar. These new applications are being developed in response to the needs of increasingly fitness-focused consumers, who are looking for healthy products with nutritional benefits.

The samples include reduced-sugar biscuits enriched with Promitor Soluble Fibre, which delivers texture and taste but with 30% less sugar, while also delivering a boost in fibre content.

Tate & Lyle and Sweet Green Fields’ partnership in innovative stevia ingredients and solutions will exhibit the ways food and beverage manufacturers can reduce sugar levels in a range of products using the Optimiser Stevia range.

The Tate & Lyle product line up will also feature its latest innovation in creating sugar reduction solutions including a range of beverages, condiments and cake bars, all with reduced-sugar content. This will include a coconut mango juice drink containing Optimiser Stevia 2.10, which delivers a high purity at a lower cost.

A low-sugar, fibre-enhanced ketchup prototype will also be available to taste, which contains no added sugar and combines Splenda Sucralose, Optimiser Stevia, Promitor Soluble Fibre, Hamulsion  and Resistamyl Thickening Starch.
