Lindt & Sprüngli puts enjoyment at heart of new chocolate eggs

Easter is just around the corner, a celebration that begins spring and that excites both the youngest and the oldest.

One more year, on this important date, the Swiss premium chocolate company Lindt & Sprüngli wants to invite families to enjoy the best chocolate made by the Lindt Master Chocolatiers.

As a novelty, the company presents chocolate eggs that hide inside Lindor Milk chocolates, which can be found in two formats of 120g and 320g.

These new chocolate eggs are added to other proposals specially created by Lindt & Sprüngli for these dates, such as its iconic Gold Bunny and mini chocolate eggs, specially designed to be enjoyed during the Easter Hunt..

The story of the Lindt Gold Bunny Easter Bunny dates back to 1952, with the daughter of one of Lindt’s Swiss Master Chocolatier as the lead. During the traditional meal on the day of Easter, the girl saw a bunny in her garden and excitedly asked her father if she could go outside.

When he arrived, to his surprise, the bunny had disappeared. Since the girl was so sad, his father decided to create a bunny made with the best milk chocolate, wrap it in paper gold and tie a golden bell around her neck with a red ribbon, so that her daughter could always find it. This is how the first Lindt Golden Rabbit was born.

The idea was so successful worldwide that since then more than 120 million Lindt Gold Bunnies are given away every year in more than 70 countries around the world, becoming an iconic symbol of Easter and one of the most recognised products in this time of year.

“Somehow we feel reflected in this precious tradition, which does not look for anything else to continue to excite the world with chocolate every year, and at this time in particular, to the most little ones. The Lindt Gold Bunny is undoubtedly an Easter icon to sweeten these dates to lovers of the best chocolate,” say the Lindt Master Chocolatiers.
