Shaken Udder launches two brand new chocolate flavours

The two new chocolate flavours, Double Choc and White Choc, will appear on shelves in Sainsbury’s this week (from 4th September 2023). Both flavours will appear in front of store (meal deal) in main estate supermarkets and Sainsbury’s Local stores.

Double Choc and White Choc have been released to complement Shaken Udder’s range of flavours, and recognise the huge popularity of chocolate. The brand’s existing chocolate milkshake, Chocolush, is its most popular flavour and 7 out of 10 of the top performing SKUs in the flavoured milk category are chocolate.

Jo Abram, marketing director of Shaken Udder, notes chocolate has always been its most popular milkshake flavour.

“We are delighted to launch two brand new mouthwatering chocolate flavours this autumn – Double Choc and White Choc. Both have an utterly delicious, indulgent taste while being HFSS compliant with only 5% added sugar,” Abram added.

White Choc is made with creamy white chocolate, while Double Choc has a mixture of dark chocolate and Belgian chocolate for a rich, velvety taste. Shaken Udder milkshakes contain no artificial ingredients, are suitable for vegetarians and come in fully recyclable bottles.

Shaken Udder said it has seen “incredible” success since first launching in 2003 and is now worth £25.7m with double digit growth of +15.3% year on year making it the UK’s no.1 premium milkshake brand. This spring the brand launched its first ever TV advertising campaign in primetime slots on ITV. The ad, called “Do what makes you happy”, will appear back on our screens at the end of August and into September.
